Been looking for a lightweight bike but cant seem to find a frame I like with components I want.
Previously had a supersix evo 105 2014 model.
Really liked the bike but sold it due to an opp (ankle fusion) as I didn't know if I could cycle again.
Recovery gone well and ive borrowed a friends bike to see how I feel and im now desperate to get back cycling.
Saw a supersix evo hi mod frame for £750 and decided I wanted to build my own bike to my own spec.
Now my size is no longer available and tbh im a little bit gutted as Im really looking forward to building something I want.
SO now im in 2 minds weather to go back looking for something as a whole bike or try find a lightweight carbon frame and build myself.
I would spend up to (very max for the right frame) £1k on the frame.
Anyone know of any frames?
Not interested in Planet x or Ribble. although I do like the supersix I would prefer something maybe less well known.
Not interested in Electric or disk brakes.
Open to any suggestions really!!
I don't really like bland stealth greys and blacks?

What constitutes 'lightweight' to you? The frame is only one component of the build, so a lightweight bike really depends on how much you are prepared to throw at the whole build - not just the frameset.

Like you, I looked at the frames from Paul's cycles for £750 but unfortunately they aren't di2 compatible otherwise I would have built myself also.

From looking around at various frames I didn't really see anything below £1500 that took my fancy to be honest so a self build I pretty much discounted after that.

I've just ordered a bike now from Rose which should be below 7kg's. You could get all this with some of the Rose models for about £2k (Ultrgra/Ritchey).

Like citius said tho, what do you consider to be a light frame/bike?

Not massively lightweight
7kg - 7.5kgs. total build? ive an idea of components and wheels I want to use.
Not going to be joining the tour anytime soon, but cant go more than half a mile round here without hitting a huge hill!
Want something I like the look of and am happy to ride for years.

Deng Fu are also good if you want something a bit different. Here is mine with a couple of pricier bikes. ^_^

Leaving aside the idea of it being 'massively lightweight' you're going to struggle to get something lighter than 7kg. Unless it's a unicycle!

I've got an Scott Addict and absolutely love it.
