Hey I'm looking to buy a bike and I seen this one on a classifieds ad. The owner told me it's a Cannondale with a 19" aluminum frame, he didn't have much more info besides that (he's an older man). Does any know the Model or what this bike might be worth? He has it posted at $149

Could it be an older Bad Boy with MTB wheels?

Sorry, I'm no expert but have an interest in Cannondales

I'd suggest it's quite old, given the canti brakes and quill stem. From memory most bikes had V brakes from the mid / late 90's. I can't identify the group set, but it doesn't look high end, even for the bike's age.

The brake bosses would be in the wrong place for 26" wheels if it originally had 700c wheels. I think the original Bad Boy has 700c wheels?

That's a mix of 100 and 200 GS, still on many manufacturers low end machines as late as 99. Strangely good shifters, but the rest was made from melted anvils and breeze blocks.

@scampa45 most people on this forum are in the UK, so you we can't give an authoritative opinion on the price.

But I'd say that $149 is an ok price for a bike that's in reasonable nick that you enjoy riding, Cannondale or not. If it needs a new cassette, chain, bottom bracket etc, it could really add up.
