I've just found one of these while I was at work. It was dumped in a bush and it's rusted to death.

Does anyone know anything about these? It looks like an Argos beauty to me haha.

Considering refurb and a single Speed conversion for my first ever project

What do you think?

The OH has a Toys R Us special. Although it's not a great bike and very heavy a SS conversion would certainly be a big improvement due to the gears being really poor.

I just plan on converting it purely for the experience and I'll move onto something more exotic when I fully know what I'm doing.

Nothing works on the bike atm. That picture was one I pinched off the net. In reality there's very little that actually still works. I'd be surprised if the wheels weren't buckled as well.

I've stripped the brakes off it, most of the gearing (stuck with the derailleur, I'll have to break the chain) and realised the forks are bent so I can't place the front wheel back in and the chainring is also bent.

It looks like someone gave it a good kicking before they threw it in that bush.

Nevertheless, it's been fun pulling it apart. Haha.

I think the name on the downtube sums it all up.
