Well its been a good weekend for finds in the Biggs household.

Yesterday whilst doing a bit of gardening I found the garage key that has been missing for a year.

Then today whilst moving bits in the garage I found the Campagnolo Strada crankset and the close ratio suntour block that have been missing for about a year and half.

I've been in your garage - there are Japanese soldiers in there that don't know the war is over!

At about 21 I had a serious accident on the way home from nightshirt. Ambulance, surgery, recuperation for 2 weeks in hospital, 2 months off.
Sometime in that time I realised my wedding band was missing, gone, no idea where.

About 8 months later I was doing a stock check back at work which involved counting parts in hundreds of parts bins. I pulled one down to check, got half way through, grabbed a handful of parts and there sat my ring .

No real surprise, it'd obviously fallen off my finger....but the bin it was in was so so rarely, if ever, used. They were parts I couldn't remember ever using barring an occasional count during stock check

There have been loads of metal detector peeps in the fields near me over the past few weekends - I got chatting to one of them today when I was out walking my dogs, and he was telling me that someone from the 13th century appears to have been a bit absent minded in a field they had been in last weekend and left several silver coins lying about in the soil.

Ditto. There's probably also half a French cycling team from the first time the Tour de France visited the UK. And their bikes.

Apparently Biggs has a cellar, and his real surname is Fritzl...
