I overtook 3 ninja chums tonight in Bromley. One of them tried to keep up with me but soon realised I was far too fast for him.

I'm failing to see how a few of these people are not fairies and are ninjas. Fairies = fair dos to an extent.

'Scuse my ignorance, but not sure what you mean by 'Ninja', is it cyclist all in black and 'invisibe', or with no lights, or fakenger type employing RLJing and pavement hopping 'ninja' tactics?

A ninja is all black and no lights and supposedly invisible.

A cyclist all in black and dull/underpowered/perhaps unsuitable lights are fairies.

As Marinyork says and they habitualy are seen wandering across red lights drifting from the pavement to the road and even going down the road in the wrong direction, there ride of choice is usualy a full sus mtb or some piece of crap from Halfords!

Marinyork - What do you call builder types with huge yellow coats and riding on MTBs. Do they have a moniker?

They're still just POBs thesedays aren't they ? Not that I like the phrase, people can wear whatever they like it is behaviours I'm concerned with.

I thought there may be a sub-catgeory for them.

Seeing more and more of them on my route though they're usually on the pavement with none or poor lights.

I guess the yellow coat is less for the commute and more for the outdoor work that they do.
