It was. I went to Delamere forest today, luckily not with the bikes and it was shut due to storm damage. A forest shut! There were quite a few trees down I had to climb over but never seen a forest shut before.

yep - that's why we took to the roads today (Sunday's are traditionally mountain bike day and Delamere Forest out local playground which we ride to). I am hoping it will be re-open by next weekend so I can get my OH to check out his new (2nd hand) mountain bike which we bought last weekend... it was a touch windy here during the week, honest!
