Low cost holiday destination recommendations please..

Hello. I'm blown away a bit by all the choice and I know very little about this, so please could somebody point me to a good choice for a low cost holiday destination for a couple in early middle-age? Required: warm dry weather (in the 20s is fine) nearly guaranteed in late September-early October, and no serious fears re terrorism etc. Just a clean and decent place and under £400/person.

Nerja is a good call.
A friend has an apartment just along the coast in Salobrena that is available 1st week in October for about £260 (per apartment, not person).

Malaga would be your airport for either, and flights for the 1st week are about £200 each return.

Malaga, Valencia or Barcelona. Cheap, easy flights and if the weather is not great on a day, you have plenty of things to do/see. Malaga & Valencia are seriously underrated and BCN has things going on 24/7. Holiday resorts can be dismal, IMO, out of high season if it's not sunny.

Turkey. I went last October. Great weather and cheap when you get there. Paid £250 for B&B
