I'm forever getting rear punctures on my Ribble Winter Audax, about one every 400 miles. My rear tyre is a Gator Hardshell, while my front is an Armodillo All Condition. The front tyre has only punctured twice in about 10,000 miles. Unfortunately, the Ribble has very tight clearance for the back tyre when the (factory fitted) guards are on, and I can't quite fit an Armodillo on the back.

Can anyone recommend a lowish profile puncture resistant (probably 23mm) tyre for my rear wheel which isn't the Gator Hardshell? This is for a year-round all-weather commuter, so weight isn't too much of an issue.

Thanks.

Durano Plus.

Excellent tyres.
Done over 4500miles on mine with only 1 puncture. And that's commuting everyday on the glass, strewn, potholed SE London streets.
Strong wearing, grippy and roll well.

I used to use Spesh Armadillo, but have found the Durano's to be much better.
The Spesh, even though they say are 23's are more like 25's.
