Seeing as I am meant to be losing weight, pie making has taken a back seat role in my food prep but I've come across the Hairy Bikers' diet book's 'Tangle Pie' with a filo pastry crust....

It was fantastic

The Hairy bikers also did a low fat pie using pizza mix instead of normal pastry as its lower fat.. I tried it using veggie mince instead of beef. Very nice it was as well

The diet book has some tasty looking recipes in it.

I've made and enjoyed the Italian meatballs.

I'll be making some full fat pies before the year is out. Steak and kidney and corned beef are the most likely varieties.

Hot water pastry defeats me which rules out pork pies.

I ate three quarters of it. And for the curious here's the ingredients lost that I photographed to go shopping with.
