I was hoping I might be able to get some advice or tips of anyone here who might have done this route or similar. As stated I'm flying over there late July and going to come back fairly leisurely over the space of 4-5 weeks. I just wondered if anyone could give me any tips on the best way of tackling the pyrenees. My rough route plan was to get over towards Bordeaux and then follow the coastline back up through France. I'll be carrying a tent and bag as I plan to camp mostly. I've only just decided to go so haven't done any sort of research and just wondered the best way to tackle it.
I've found a campsite near the airport in Madrid only 5 km away. Does anyone know how easy it would be to cycle out of the airport. Thanks for any advice.
