He is producing a functional product, the photo is of an ornamental work of art of no practical value..

We made a spoon as a bit of light relief on a (albeit not too serious) survival weekend that I attended for a friend's stag. Mine was functional but the aesthetics left a bit to be desired.

He seems a nice chap and I love the spoons, but I'm baffled by how someone can finance living in Hackney by selling spoons at £15 apiece.

spent many an hour whittling spoons. its incredibly good fun.
if you can ever get the opportunity to give it a go i seriously suggest you do
not for those who like to chop their fingers when cutting veg mind. the knives are all very, very sharp and you'll prolly lose a finger.
