The Update.
Found out from a friend of a friend (!) what house it was. They where driving past as the police where there arresting him as he returned. It was only a few doors away from where I had seen them so they must have run out of the house as I approached. Yesterday evening a friend went past the same house to see five police cars with policemen standing on the front path and in the house. I am guessing that when he was released by the police he went straight back round. Perhaps it was the naked guy trying to get his stuff back? Perhaps he has an axe to grind with somebody?
