Before I went to university in Manchester, somebody told me that despite being one of the UK's wettest cities, it rarely rained heavily there between 08:00 and 09:00 and between 17:00 and 18:00 i.e. during normal commuting times.

I walked to and from university many hundreds of times in my 3 years there and very rarely got soaked - maybe 4 or 5 times in total. Pretty strange, huh?

Just cos your in Hebden. Dont take the piss (pun). Its always raining in Hebden. You got lucky :-D

Yes but you'll all be crying at the first sign of winter down there, we've had weeks of getting used to it :tongue:

As a Mancunian, and a commuter, I just assume that it's going to rain every single day. Which it mostly does. If it doesn't then I see it as an unexpected treat. When it comes to weather, I just aim very very low.
