Manchester - Blackpool Night Ride 17th/18th Sept

Hello,

Anyone doing this:

I've not done the daytime one either, but a few mates have, and it seems OK with the exception of the last 10 mile head wind!

Anyway, should be a laugh. My vague plan is to do a 4 hour ride, but I need to put a few more hours in the saddle to get there.

Thought i'd bump this seeing as i was going to post the same thing!

Anyone else doing this? It will be my first long distance ride and at night too which i think is pretty

I guess not many did this then on here! anyway i did it and it was good fun in the dark! completed it in 3hrs 24mins which considering i have never done that distance before plus no training is pretty good i think.

I raised a bit of money for BHF which is good too.

Legs are feeling a little tender though!!

I hadn't look at the cost, but the logistics killed it for me. Leaving the Trafford Centre at midnight would have seen me in Blackpool between 3.30/4.00am.
Couldn't expect Mrs S and Mini S to pick me up at that time

Yeah, i get the cost bit - £30 was steep i agree and i don't think anygoes to the Charity

just goes towards the cost of marshall's and stuff like that, got some 'free' food and drinks at the end though!

Enjoyed it though, good experiance overall
