manchester-london and manchester-blackpool cycle routes needed!! :D

heyy..

me and some friends are going from manchester to london for charity, and also from manchester to blackpool for training.

any suggestions for routes we should take that stay on the roads would be appreciated.

It might be worth looking at their route for inspiration. Presumably it sticks to quiter roads / paths suitable for road bikes. (Never ridden it or looked at the route)

How long are you wanting to take to do the ride? If you are planning on doing it in 24 hours then main roads will become essential. If you are going to do it over two or three days then between us I am sure there is enough local knowledge to plot you a nice route avoiding most of the nastier roads.

It's actually been almost 4 years and since the OP hasn't been back in all that time I guess we'll never know.

The shoulder feels strong but as I've not used the arm/shoulder muscles for two months their very weak so just need to build the muscle back up and we'll be as good as new
