I made a run for it just after the really heavy stuff - got a bit wet, and then had to change out of my waterproof jacket because it was so warm.

Bloody odd day.

Yes I agree, weather was spot on this morning. It just seemed to be fast, I overtook quite a few people and set a average speed record 16.5 mph! My best commute so far, one mile without stops I averaged 19 mph .

I was still looking over my shoulder for Fossy to pass me though;)

Just waiting for the rain and the wind on my way home.

made it back dry!! and in one piece as a bonus

I think getting back in one piece after yesterday's incident is more important to me.

Also on here am I the slowest as everybody else seems to "scalp" everyone else?

Then again on the return commute I didn't see many cyclists and I was generally faster than most although I didn't "scalp" anyone.

I got totally drenched, quite enjoyed it really, may as well get piss wet through rather than damp.

There were a few nobs out though, an old Seat shed flew past me on Chelford road, int he rain doing probably 100 mph and some little scrote parked up in a ratty old Golf pulled out without looking whilst I was coming up to a junction in primary, spots me and then barges past, I called him avery rude word, hope he heard me.

I get scalped now and again by other cyclists, but when I do its usually some whippet slim racer type ,dont really care either,I always think if I was was in the gym I would destroy you with my benchpress etc:evil::ohmy: .

I do get a bit peed off when an old granny with a shopping basket overtakes, but I think the lycra on her looks great.

Benchpresses are no good for cycling though, unless you are a kilo rider.....
Well,I am good at getting the tops off stubborn jam jars hehe. Actually, I find the weights has actually benifited me on the bike, I rarely get backache now,and my sprints can be pretty rapid. Long slow climbs are my weakest part of cycling, can get hard, but still better than a lot.......Jack of all trades me................ but master of none
