I lived 15 miles from Manchester Velodrome for 18 years and never made it there... Anyway, I finally got to ride at Newport a few weeks' back and it was superb! The Severn Bridge is going to be free after December so I'll be back again soon.

.... if you're coming south from Manc take the M50 from the M5 to Ross and down the almost motorway standard road to Newport to avoid the toll - it's free on the old bridge to exit Wales and get to the M5 northwards.

Thx Rob. I live in Stroud now so the easiest route by far is the M4...
