I got it for walking and it really is very good. Just a warning that you can only have the maps installed on two computers at any one time.
Like all mapping programmes it can't account for bridges and tunnels in the altitude data, but the distances are good and the maps are about as cheap as you are going to get for a paid mapping service.
At risk of plugging another forum I'm on there's quite a bit of feedback on LFTO about Quo. It's more walking related but covers the same sort of requirements - [link]
