Yes, brilliant. I was a bit dubious at first, thought it was going to be another bunch of no hopers whining when things went wrong, but it's good. Monty Don is such a gentle sort of soul too, and so encouraging.
Although I really didn't like that winning gate last night, thought it looked a bit amateur. Still the guy judging is the expert....
And it shows you how much work goes into stuff. So far I fancy a go at green wood work, and smithing, but the thatching just looked like hard, frustrating work!

The smithy in the show is just over the Humber bridge, and I go past it every few weeks....didn't realise it was there!
A first class programme, I'm really enjoying it. Of course if it is a success they will transfer it to BBC1, put it on three nights a week, have some tart in a shiny dress propping up Monty and include a phone vote at the end to see who wins (results show on after the news, and some shabby vehicle for Winkleman on BBC3).
