I think you'll find my good sir, that the Chinese have discovered a clever plan of picking where they build UK's new nuclear powerplant. Apparently they weren't happy with Hinkley. So where ever this spacestation lands, will become the new site for the nuclear power plant after most of the local inhabitants have either been crushed by the space station, debris or kicked the bucket through the inhalation of cosmic space dust.

It's even better than that. This way they can make part of the UK radioactive for thousands of years without having to faff about building a reactor.
