Are these devices as good as the ads make out? Also, I'm aware that you can plot a course on a pc and download it to such a device, but is it possible to record a new journey on the device and then transfer it as an overlay on a map on your pc?
I've not got the Memory Map 2800 or 3500 but I do exactly that with my Garmin Edge, I cant see how they'd be different, I'd think they'd create a gps track too.
