Just brought a Merida 904 Scultura comes with 105 group set except the brakes which are Merida sport pro. Seen a set of Ultegra 6700 for £65.
Worth skipping 105 brakes?
This bike will used for commuting and weekend rides when weathers not so good.

If its a good price and you are comfortable on the bike why not; Merida's have a good name.

I think just he's referring to the brakes HLab,

Have you tried the brakes yet? If they ain't broke and all that, if they are poor maybe try putting better pads in before replacing the calipers though.

Yeah I would try running with what the ones they come with for a while- see how bad/ good they are before splashing out- you may be surprised.

I've just brought the Scultura 905 which has the same brakes, so far they aren't as good as the SRAM force on the previous bike. I will look into a pad upgrade but will probably just bite the bullet and go for an Ultegra setup to match the rest of the bike

May I ask where you found them at £65?
