Anyone doing the Merlin?
Im looking at doing the 104 mile run, Ive done bits of the route before on century+ rides and its all good stuff.
I did the 104 in 2010. Great ride with the added bonus of the profit going to charity,air ambulance and Ty Hafan childrens hospice I think.
I was a bit concerned about the mass start but on the day it was no problem at all. Route was well signposted and major junctions were controlled by police .
Need your climbing legs for it, as well as the major climbs over the Black Mountain Road and south from Newcastle Emlyn there are plenty of smaller climbs to do as well.
I rode the 70 mile Cothi Route on my own once, another great route ,very scenic and still with some good climbs.
