Does anyone know if there is a decent milage calculator/planner app that's easy to use?

I've been working out different routes by using google maps but I have to type in a location note the milage then the next location and note the milage and so on

I've tried the cycle streets app but I find it a nightmare to use

I'm sure the apps suggested are far better than google maps, but it can be done

Right click on the map at the start - select Directions from here
select your next 'waypoint' right click - select Directions to here
select your next waypoint right click - add a Destination and keep doing this (add a Destination) until your route is finished
The distance is calculated automagically

Unfortunately, the more destinations you add, the slower it gets I wonder why Google, with its giant database, does not yet provide an efficient tool to plan complex routes suited for runners/cyclists.
