Just had a super mini break , arrived in Leeds Thursday morning to sub zero temperature. Joined canal at 0930 and arrived 82 miles of canal and 12 hours later in Chorley.premier inn bed and then mahoosive brekky this morning . Checked out 1030 , arrived at Liverpool end 1520 . Few scoops in Liverpool , train home at 1800 , quick pint in Wigan , 10 minute ride home , now in a hot radox bath, with rather large JD and pizza ordered!glorious weather and very relaxed, highly recommended

sounds top... i keep meaning to do a chunk of the LL myself... Accrington (ish) to Baildon in a day, basically a flatter route from Lancaster to my brother's than the slightly more direct one.

It was bloody freezing in Leeds Thursday morning, not sub zero but hey ho !
Wimps! Was it bollocks freezing, I was on the canal at 9 at Shipley and in Malham for 12.30, via Skipton, Hetton & Airton. I came back sunburnt.
