I've had two, both rubbish. They both were dual fit presta/schrader. They seemed to get air into the tube about 1/10 attempts on a presta valve.

Anyone know of any good ones?

I don't know if it counts as a mini-pump, but I like the Lezyne Road Drive. It comes with a hose, not a fixed head. It's beautifully made too.

the above mentioned pumps are good, but they are not mini pumps (i wouldn't carry them in jersey pocket). unfortunately good mini pumps don't exist, but there are co2 cartridges, which are superior in most cases. fwiw i've got bontrager air rush small pump with co2 valve (good for it's versatility) and barbieri super-light mini pump (400 strokes to get the road tyre up to 85psi ^_^). all small pumps are a compromise.

I would beg to differ, I have one of the lezyne minis (medium length) which fits in a jersey pocket with no problems. Or you could also fit it to your frame with the bracket provided. As I said they do quite a few pumps, with a range of styles and sizes:
