The tone of the article seems to be bent towards the ladies of Kensington and Chelsea who may well look at cyclists on the road but would not get on a bike unless it is in an air conditioned gym. I may be wrong.

her admission that london commuters are hard faced does ring home a truth, however if london commuters weren't then they'd most likely be dead.

Not a bad piece but could do without the snide remarks about 'cyclist's manners'. She's happy to ignore the fact that those who insist on dragging a car or truck into central London are a darn sight more anti-social than anyone riding a bike.

Personally, I think articles that start with some drivel about most cyclists being rude, then going on to recommend that you need special dangerous sounding shoes/pedals, special padded trousers and strange looking wrap around glasses don't do anything to encourage anyone to take up cycling. Quite the opposite in fact.

For this reason, I declare the article a stupid load of cak.

Not a bad article on cycling by the Torygraph's standards, it does make it all sound a bit complicated though!
