So I brought a freehub to replace my existing one which clearly has issues. however I missed the fact that I ordered the sealed bearing version, where it's predecessor is loose bearings. I've had no luck finding the correct part on the interwebs( Novatec loose bearing coarse thread). so being the cheap bugger im am, I'm tempted to run loose bearing on one side of the rear wheel, and sealed bearing on the other. Anyone had experience trying this, did it work or fail ? TIA.

Was about to say, it will be fine if your OCD can handle it but then realised I am talking utter tosh!

What axle will you use?

How will you adjust the play from the non-drive side bearing as loose cup and cone bearings work against each other and need the opposing bearing to work, while sealed bearings are individual and don't take kindly to axial loads.
