Need a case just for carrying my phone in bag - Must be pretty solid if i ever did come off and waterproof if my bag ever leaked

I used a "Boxit" for many years with no problems and you can use the phone whilst in the box... it does depend on the phone though.

Clingfilm. You need a whole roll to get it really waterproof though.

Put a hair dryer over it afterwards if you think it's gonna rain.

Then a few layers of gaffer tape - essential for off-road riding.

Mo good I am afraid as you cannot slide the cover!

I just need something to carry it in when commuting - I won't use it while on the bike !!

Just something to stop it getting scratched and damaged.

In that case nip down to any camera shop - they will have a number of small cases suitable.
