Monopoly Board Ride

My Friend has come up with the idea of a ride around our fair capital visiting all of the iconic sites on the original Monopoly board.
This will be a very leisurely ride and the full distance will be about 25 miles but with stops along the way where needed.
If your interested then just be outside of the McDonalds at Liverpool Street at 12.00 noon Sunday 18th August 2013.
No need to reply or put your name down, ride will be ready to leave about 12.15'ish.
All welcome. :becool:

That's fantastic, AS.
Ohhh, if only, if only I could get a pass out from my voluntary Sunday evening job. Unless we think we'd be finished by 5-ish?
Where would you find a waterworks and an electric company?

It's a bit more complicated than that...
Waterworks: the Embankment (it's a sewer carrying a road)
Electric company: Tate Modern or Battersea
Equally a jail isn't going to be that easy in central London unless you use poetic licence and pick on something like the Tower of London.

Pentonville Road (in light blue) - there's a prison on the RH side as you go north from Kings Cross (station)

Even more central is the original 'clink' in Clink Street, Borough.

Yebbut that's not on the actual Monopoly place cards .... and there's only one place that's south of the river (the Monopoly inventor must have met a London cab driver ... "Sarf of the river, no chance, guv" ^_^ )

Rob

There's nothing to suggest the Monopoly jail must share an address with one of the property cards, same as the water works and electric company.

In any event, the jail of which you speak - Pentonville - is in Caledonian Road which, if memory serves, is not on the board.

I don't know the route plan, but Clink Street would also be handy for a couple of other points, such as Old Kent Road, Fenchurch Street station and Waterloo (that's on the board, isn't it?).

If it has to be a real jail, Pentonville is handy for 'The Angel, Islington'.

The jail to the south is Wandsworth, not near any other point.

The only other real jail I can think of is Wormwood Scrubs at Shepherd's Bush, again a bit out of the way for other points.

Wish I could be there (the ride, not the jail).

Hope someone posts a report and an outline of the route you take.
