The argument that cyclists don't help themselves is superficially plausible, but false. Every one of us could follow the Highway code to the letter, and the morons would still find something to moan about.

PaulB said:All correct of course but I've just written to them condemning their anti-cycling stance as I think it's well over the top now. On top of the attack on my son three weeks ago, I've noticed an increase in animosity towards cyclists in the last few weeks and I suspect it's no co-incidence that this has gone hand-in-hand with ridiculous and unfounded nonsense such as that which appears in this appalling rag. On Sunday, for instance, with no reason whatsoever, one guy in an Alfa buzzed a group of us riding in single file on a quiet country road in the Yorkshire dales. His passenger screamed abuse out of the window and both of them were giving us furious hand gestures. I think articles like this in the Wail bolster idiots such as this and give them some justifcation for their childish actions.
This is about the Mail, not the Telegraph!Paulus said:Nothing new from the Daily Tory there.

ComedyPilot said:The real issues in the country such as anti-social behaviour, drugs, crime and the no-go zones created around town centres due to pissed up thugs every weekend, go without a mention.
