e-mailed following to their office - wonder if I'll get a response?

Hi
I was wondering if you could pass a message on to the driver of one of your vehicles (KB02 YCH) who I had the pleasure of driving behind me on my bicycle along the A316, Richmond, on the evening of Wednesday 30th July 2008. Firstly, when there is a bike in front of you and you wish to overtake it, the traditional, and indeed sociable way to do this would be to wait some distance behind until there is room, then mirror, signal, manoeuvre around the cyclist showing some respect, not, as you did, drive right up their arse and beep your horn, then overtake closely (when there was no need to do so) while you and your mate give out dirty looks. Secondly, as far as I am aware, driving a vehicle while using a hand held mobile phone is actually against the law, and I, and my three small children, would appreciate that, if your going to drive with such a bad attitude and lack of regard for others in the first place, it might be a good idea not to be on the phone while you do so. Thirdly, driving around in a van with the name, number and web address of the company you work for is probably not the best way to remain anonymous and as such, it might be an idea not to drive like a selfish idiot while in the company vehicle.
Many Thanks

Nick

I think a more succinct version would be applicable to such a driver,

Dear Sir/Madam,

Please could you find the driver of the vehicle with the registration XXX XXXX who was driving on <date>, <time> and tell him from me that he's a tw@t. His mate is a tw@t. His mobile phone is sh*te and I hope he soon hits a tree at speed very soon.

Yours sincerely,

Very constructive response. Some of these lunatic drivers try and have a "nice-guy" demeaner at their place of work. Hopefully, he'll be embarrased by his actions and think twice next time (well, we can hope).

Dear Nick,

Thank you for your email today. We take our company image very seriously and are always interested in feedback from members of the public on the behaviour of our staff.

As you have noticed, our line of business is 'construction security'. Unfortunately in this day and age, the law-enforcement agencies do not appear to have sufficient resources to protect life and property 24-7. As a cyclist, I'm sure you've encountered this directly, eh? I thought so.

Our construction security operatives are carefully selected for their surliness and twatishness. As part of our selection process, we require all candidates to undertake assessments in both concurrent vehicle/mobile phone handling and aggressive driving.

To address the first issue, you may not be aware that many motorists are granted dispensation from hands-free phone driving regulations because their "phone call is really fuqing important, right". We have questioned the driver concerned and his call was indeed "fuqing important" and therefore exempt from current legislation.

After investigating the allegation of dangerous driving, we have issued our operative with a written warning. As you are clearly not brain-damaged, nor you arms broken like twigs, we feel he has failed to uphold the company's standards of bastardy. Rest assured, the next time this driver encounters a cyclist, there will be no witnesses if you get my drift.

We hope this addresses your concerns.

Regards,
