As the owner of a number of gps products for running, bike and tri - the worst imho is the moto.
I think the moto is a terrible product, it almost feels like its a test or beta release. The battery life is poor and rides often last longer than it. There is much better out there for the money imho.
The software for it has a lot to be desired as well imho.
DC Rainmaker has a good review of it at the following url

btw hope you do not wear gloves, the moto touch screen does not work well with gloves

for watch format im a big fan of the 310xt garmin, massive battery life and very robust with loads of features.
cycling specific im a fan of the 800 as it has a nice big screen loads of features and decent battery life

dc rainmaker has detailed reviews of most products on the market, well worth reading his site

you can get some really good deals on the 310xt at the moment if your willing to barter as they have released an upgraded model the 910xt.... The 310xt is great, you can get a bike mounting kit for it as well, if you do a bit of walking and running as well its a great product, its also water resistent although it must be said the gps does not track well when you swim with it. I have seriously abused my 310xt, even fell down snowdon wearing it and although it looks really battered it functions still works.
The only noticable thing the 800 edge has above this is GPS directional mapping and areas of interest like your car GPS

fantastic, i walk snowdon almost yearly and tracked it on my phone last time which wasnt great. As walking on mountains can be quite damp and rainy a waterproof model is ideal, i dont really plan swimming but this feature is excellent. Id like the mapping feature but overall i think the 310 has more features that suit me, i could always take my satnav if i really needed the mapping!

doe you know any good places to buy the 310? ebay has lots but im not too sure what the going rate is

thanks again

I think amazon has some pretty good deals at the moment, you should expect to pay around 200-210 for the watch and heart rate monitor imho. The exrta bits cost a little more money make sure you look at whats in the box.

thats the price ive been finding. it seems they fixed the swimming issue so buying new should be fine, second hand may be the old version but it doesnt really affect my choice. i think £200 is reasonable for the features

lots on ebay from isreal???? feedback looks good but im a bit wary
