Do we know what happened, Lance?
Happened as they were finishing taking the team photo's. Not certain how it happened.
He was getting it seen to off camera. Commentator passed comment on it.

Personally, I think RB are playing Russian Roulette with a low downforce set-up given the forecast - the old "win or crash" thing. If it stays dry, they *may* pull it off, and everyone will be saying they're genius. If it's wet, the car just simply won't have the grip, and Max could end up decorating the scenery in quite a big way.

I guess, being so far back in the championship they've nothing to lose by trying something a bit crazy.

Prophetic and insightful post 👍

I travelled to the British GP from Ireland and thoroughly enjoyed it . Went by Ulysses ferry boat to Holyhead and coach to Birmingham for 3 nights. Met some wonderful F1 fans on the bus. The parade laps of Jordan F1 cars was touching , plus a convoy of Gold Leaf Lotuses was nice to see. The lightning , thunder and massive rain showers caught many people out who didn't have stand tickets . Took this photo from back of National Pit straight stand of the folk below ( notice the big pool of water that formed , edge of it visible on left ) The Army had a lovely golden retriever working dog showing his skills and basking in all the attention he was getting, managed to pat him on the head , Army chap told me the dog was 3 years old , they had a great relationship . Verstappen through Copse was artistry . Hamilton was visible and waving to his adoring public during driver parade lap , rest of drivers

were huddled together under a sea of umbrellas at back of the truck platform . Didn't realise how much Hamilton is loved by the Brits , who cheered every time he drove by. Piastri threw it away , Norris deserved his win though . Big contingent of Offaly people on bus supporting Alex Dunne , most had scant knowledge of racing. Was surprised by number of young women who attended , lot of them very knowledgeable too . Lot of Brits very courteous to me as a small frail looking old guy climbing stairs etc offering to carry my bag etc
