Reg (my Sirrus) needs brake and gears work at the LBS so I decided not to buy two pairs of shoes I really wanted last week.

Imagine my surprise when I arrived home to not one but TWO shoeboxes containing the shoes I wanted!

And all so Reg can be serviced. What a guy.... swoon.

That's what the boys in the office said! I DO like colourful trainers, they're Onitsukas.

Likewise (colourful trainers that is!). I used to have a pair of lime green adidas trainers in 1979 that wouldn't look out of place now. I loved them.

I love the trainers, Wheeledweenie! And the others too! Just read your blog with interest. I don't think anyone would be interested if I had a blog and I was interested to read about the difference fallen leaves makes to your cycling. That's one of the reasons why I'm not too thrilled with cycling in the rain, as the brakes don't work so well. There are loads of leaves around where I cycle at the moment and I'm trying to treat them with great respect!
I don't have to commute any more having retired last year but did used to do so across a 3 or 4 mile farm track which was great fun & sometimes involved moving cows when they'd escaped by standing, arms stretched and shouting at them. It does work!
It was wonderful looking at the change in seasons in the countryside throughout the year and even in the snow it wasn't dangerous as if you fell off it was soft & there was no traffic to run over you. I'll try to bookmark your blog and read it regularly.
By the way "Love those Shoes" is a great site - for shoes of course.

He got some at the beginning of the month Marathon Kevlar ones

And these new shoes are for pannier transportation and changing into at the venue.

Am flattered the blog still gets looked at. Started it in March and am amazed at the fact people read it and sympathise. Wet leaves are soooo pants. I think the shoes were partly because of my accident last week (caused partly by said leaves). I needed cheering up.
