Finally having my MRI scan on the back tomorrow, which is great as it means may finally start to figure out what is wrong!

Having said that, I got the letter a few days ago with the appointment for the follow up/results consultation with the 'specialist' and it's a 15 minute slot on the 29th April??

Sweet.... another few bikeless months not knowing whats wrong and in constant pain :rolleyes:!

I just had a root nerve injection in my lower back on Monday. Hoping it will make some difference.

What was this for then? Everyone I see or talk to about this back problem, Doctors, Osteopaths, physio's etc all are very vague about what it could be and what treatment I may have. They all say "hmmm, well if the x ray didn't pick it up it could be a couple of things" then they change the subject... am hoping this is not health professional speak for "F*cked if I know whats wrong, but I am guessing your screwed":sad:

I herniated a disc in my lower back playing rugby last March. Literally could not walk from April to August. Been getting gradually better over time. Had MRI in July, saw specialist in October, had injection on Monday. Not a quick process.
Backs... who needs them, eh?

Seriously, hope you see some progress soon.

Blimey. I was miffed that the earliest consultants appt I could get from an MRI scan on my knee on 9/2 was 4/3.

Good luck with the scan - noisy buggers (bit like a machine gun going off).

That's an average turn round - my results/consultant appointment was over two months after the initial scan.

Got my second MRI appointment awaited - this time they are going to scan my shoulder at last, only 12 months after they scanned my spine...

Progress..... just slowly!
