I'm in need of buying some new SPD shoes. I currently have Shimano MT22 shoes which are great but get very hot in mild/hot weather.

Does anyone have suggestions for a good pair of shoes as a second pair?

I've got the MT23's - my only ever pair of SPD's are they are highly vented.

I've got these http://www.edinburghbicycle.com/products/specialized-bg-comp-mtb-shoe
Very nice shoe, the toebox is well vented but the tongue area causes my feet to sweat, probably because it is well padded however there are slots for venting, it doesnt work too well on me( I do readily perspire!).
I've walked probably 10miles in them(because of punctures and dropping my bike off in the shop and not taking a change) and the sole is barely marked, superb xmas prezzie!

Yeah, I have just had a nosey at them in Evans. I'm thinking of avoiding the ones with the buckle at the top so I can get overshoes easily over them.

I have used overshoes(aldi own) not the neoprene ones so I wouldnt know how tight a fit they are.

I'm contemplating getting these Pearl Izumi shoes - seems like a good deal. They have them at evans so might do a price match, get them delivered to the local store which will save the faff of me sending them back if they don't fit.
