Current commuting machine is slowly dying. As an old Kona MTB it is currently sporting the narrowest 26" SKS guards, which are still much wider than the M+ tyres. They'll take up to a 2.1" tyre.

New machine has been tentatively selected - it will have 700c wheels, and I'll run 700c x 25 M+ tyres.

The question is ........... do I go for the narrowest SKS guards or the next size up. Which will catch more water? I can equally argue both cases.

All thoughts welcome.

35mm or 45mm seem to be your choices.
I'd choose the narrower.
