Well in the end they sent her home , no need for convalescence.
Mum is managing to get about with a walking stick now and can look after herself , obviously we are poppng around all the time to help / do shopping etc and a physio is coming around around every week day for at least a month .She is also able to read more now as the vision is coming back .
Looks like she got off very lightly all things considered but we will all have to be more vigilant .
