I think I half composed a cycling version once, it was about fixing one part and the next going wrong... I can't remember any of it now!

That sounds brilliant!
I think the reason I sing it is because e.g. I'll go past the Brake's lorry delivering at the pub, 'oh, the Brake's lorry is delivering, must be Tuesday, hmm, what regular meetings do I have on Tuesday, none, do I have any others that I can remember this particular Tuesday...' la-la-la, bit of spinning along a fast bit... 'Twas on the Tuesday morning the carpenter came round...'

My girlfriend and I used to make up cycling words to cheesy songs when we were on tandem tours. I can't remember much of our lyrics, but our favourite song for this was Perry Como's 'Magic Moments', starting off with

'Ma-gic mo-ments
when we're on our tandem
ma-gic mo-ments
our ly-rics are quite ran-dom...'

A consistent earworm for me recently when cycling is 'My Old Man's a Dustman'.

I sing a variety of cheery songs as I ride, at the moment it's mostly "I want to f**k you like an animal" by Nine Inch Nails. People in cars in traffic jams steer away from me when I sing that, they think I'm nuts. Which is true ;)

I don't sing when I'm out cycling except if it is raining heavily and then it's usually hymns. I have no idea why I do this but it does happen!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
