Coming home from work today almost get crushed by guy in a big red dingbro van, after i followed him into the yard and exchanged the usual greetings, didn't see you etc continued along the cumbernauld rd see a ford mondeo weaving about the road, at the lights where i pulled along side him, looked in and saw that he's got a yorkshire terrier sitting on his lap and he's texting on his phone, i then watched as he pulled away with dog still on his lap,what chance have you got with a*******s like this on the road.

You're not the only one to have an eventful trip home today.
1. Turning right at a roundabout, I was in primary taking up as much road as I could (it's a 20mph limit, so I'm sure I wasn't holding anyone up). As I went round the roundabout, I could hear a car coming up very close behind me. Next thing I know, he appears alongside me driving in the hatched area on the inside of the roundabout. The most annoying thing is that the roundabout was restricted to one lane by all the hatchings after a cyclist was killed there a few years ago.
2. Less than a mile later, a young woman shot out of a side road from my right, realised there wasn't enough room so just stopped dead in the middle of the road. No-one hit her, but the stream of cars coming in the other direction didn't look too chuffed.
3. Later I came up against a car stopped in the road with its hazards on. The driver was trying to push it (and steer it) on his own and up hill. Of course, no other drivers had stopped to help, so I leaped off the bike and started pushing. All of sudden, it seemed a lot more difficult and I looked up to find the driver had stopped pushing and was on his mobile phone. How's that for gratitude? (To be fair, he did thank me once we'd got it round the corner into a side road.)

lol, that's amazing. I'd have left him there and then with a choice compound-expletive.

Did anyone see Police Interceptors on c5 last night? They had this proper old school bobby pulling boy racers over. Was great to see their little shallow chav egos smashed like that.

You should have stopped too and let his car roll down the hill. He would have dropped the phone chasing after it.

I broke down like that once, on a hill, in rain and in road works so I was blocking the single lane of traffic. I pushed as hard as I could while the drivers behind 'beeped encouragement' at me. None of them helped. It took a motor biker who saw and pulled up to give me a hand pushing. As soon as we cleared the road works all the cars and vans over took shouting abuse at both of us!

There is definately something about having less then 4 wheels on the road.

I broke down like that once, on a hill, in rain and in road works so I was blocking the single lane of traffic. I pushed as hard as I could while the drivers behind 'beeped encouragement' at me. None of them helped.

I would have been sorely tempted to stop pushing, stick the hazards on, call the RAC and wait half an hour for them to turn up.
