Where I work they signed up to a bike scheme and 8 of us decided to go for it. I went for a Boardman hybrid which I quite like. I picked it up this morning from Halfords in the box and built it up myself at home. Enjoyed setting it up and putting the extras on.

Smart choice I reckon and looks strangely familiar . I opted for SKS Longboard mudguards though (which I'm very happy with), and fitted Continental Touring Plus tyres which roll well on tarmac for commuting, but are equally sure-footed on the gravel paths and trails when I'm out with the kids and tag-a-long.

That Boardman is great value for money IMHO

I had my first outing to work this morning and I like very much. One of the MD's at our place (top bloke) comes over to our warehouse on a Monday morning for a coffee and wanted to see the bike. He liked what I had got and we had a good chat. I got him into cycling 12yrs ago as he is more into off road and has just bought himself a something well out of my price range bike. I am really pleased with the Boardman and feel I have made the right choice for what was on offer at Halfords and what I was prepared to spend. Plus as well on the quiet I was and still am a Chris Boardman fan so there is a little pride in getting the bike as well.......Cheers for the feedback by the way
