I'm a keen recreational cyclist - I commute approx 18 miles (round trip) most days and I do the occasional weekend ride (50 or 60 miles). I recently cycled from London to Paris.

I absolutely love my Condor Gran Fondo (Titanium). When I bought that bike instead of the steel version, I promised my wife that it was the perfect bike and there would never be a need for another one.

But 2 years later and I'm itching for an "n+1". Looking for a nice, light carbon frame. I will still use the Condor as my winter work-horse, but I really fancy something a bit faster for the weekend. I'm no racer; sportives are more my thing, so I'm looking at an "endurance class" bike rather than an out-and-out racing bike.

At the moment, I'm choosing between these two:

I'd be very interested to hear your views as between these two bikes (but also interested to hear any other recommendations).

My budget is up to £3,500 (but would obviously prefer to spend less, if possible!)

thanks in advance .....

A Ridley? http://www.pearsoncycles.co.uk/store/product/46387/Ridley-Excalibur/

Or a nice Pearson to go with the Condor. I have the previous version of this, definitely a more upright ride
