My first (crashed) racing bike

Just found some old pictures of my first racing bike that unfortunately is no longer with us! after a pretty bad crash.

Blimey, there's some reminiscing in those images. No bar tape, shorty mudguards (what benefit were they meant to provide for anything? ), cage pedals and that saddle! Oh, my, that saddle!!!

I have something similar in the garage at the moment, and I can fully understand why you loved it.

not so much love it was my first road bike though, also my first major road accident

Looking at it now it doesn't look particularly comfortable!
