After trying a SS bike a few weeks ago I decided to either buy or build one if i could find a suitable donor bike / frame.

Most older bikes seem to be huge frames (I'm 5ft 9" on a good day) so didn't have a lot of luck with anything that appeared locally, so then decided to turn my attention to more modern machines but wanted something with clearance for full mudguards and maybe a rack as I'm planning on it becoming my Commuter and winter bike.

So having sold both machines that I had dabbled with as a road commuters I set about watching and waiting for something suitable. Then a Pearson Touche in my size appeared. A well timed eBay bid meant it was mine and for under £250 I'm very happy with the purchase!

It came with fixed sprocket only so I've added a freewheel option and put some nice fresh bar tape on, so far very happy and hope this will give me thighs of steel before next summer ^_^

Luckily I have persuaded by MD that my bikes are too good to leave in our ropey old bike shed (after he said I could no longer park it in the Server Room each day). So it's not going to be left anywhere vulnerable

Don't get many perks in management here but that's a good one ^_^
