My laptop keeps freezing and resulting

in me having to switch it off all the time and log back on. Been like that for a few months now.

It has been fine the past few weeks though and since last night and this morning when I logged on here for the first time in weeks it's started again.

What you trying to tell me eh!!!!!!!!!!!!


Seriously though does anyone else find this problem as it's not done it till I logged on here last night and this morning

I get the same problem sometimes but I don't think it's only when logged onto CC. Having said that I don't know what causes it to behave this way!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Is it overheating by any chance? Although why you'd have the problem only when logging on to this site, I'm not sure. Have you got your web browser and all associated plugins up to date?

See if there's a bios update. Failing that boot to DOS and format c - That'll keep you off here for a while

Could be either hardware or software at the moment.

Firstly, right click the task bar and select task manager, look for anything running a high percentage of the cpu in the processes tab, then google the name of the process if there is one that is high - if safe to do so then right click the process and select 'end process'

uninstall any toolbars like google or yahoo - they are cpu drains

could be malware/virus - download and run 'malware bytes' and use the full scan option

failing that it may be a hardware issue which would be harder to diagnose on a laptop
