Cracking a solo.
Riding home tonight, same old route, there's a section about a mile long which is single lane, pitch black with passing places. I always take primary then pop into the passing places if need be.
Anyway, riding through the lane tonight spotted a car lights coming towards me, held primary until I could pop into a suitable passing place. The driver had slowed right down a little further up the road then continued when he saw I had stopped. As he passed me he stopped, wound down his window and said;
"Awesome, nice to see someone so well lit up!":dance:
I thanked him for taking the time to mention it and thanked him for slowing down when he'd seen me, it's not all bad out there.

Got a Smart 25 on flash mode, only use it when I'm going through that lane to be honest and something I got from Lidl or Aldi (can never remember which but it's blooming marvelous really bright) which is on constant. Have also got some LED velcro strips (Aldi or Lidl again) flashing away, one on each leg and one on each arm.
Going to get a couple more bits for the forks too, just to make sure :thumbsup:

I use these too, but find my Smart20 far too dim for use on the unlit country lanes I ride on; ended up buying a Magicshine :becool:

Agreed, although I wouldn't describe it as dim I don't think it's a wide enough beam, I do find it's a very good "here I am" light when it's flashing though. The Lidl/Aldi one does a pretty good job of lighting the way it's surprisingly good considering the few quid I paid for it, but this is what I'm looking to improve on :smile:

Had a strange one last night. I normally use Ay-Ups and love them. Last night was out on the Xtracycle at around dusk with just a Knog Frog, the difference in driver behaviour was amazing. Loads more pull outs than with the Ay-Ups.

I keep getting moaned at for having lights too bright! I angle them down in most situations and run them on 1/3rd power unless I need to see where I'm going.. But normal aim and full blast everyone hates me! At least they've seen me I guess!

I had someone comment on how bright my front 5W eBay/unbranded light was a few days ago. Nice to know my lights are effective!
