My new bike! - Trek 1.5c (64cm)

Here she is in all her freakishly large beauty (sorry it's not a great pic):

I thought I should post a picture as there's not many about of bikes this size, so hopefully fellow giant cyclists will be able to find this.

It's my first road bike, and so far it's been like learning to ride a bike for the first time - but I love it! My plan was to continue using my hybrid for the commute and use this for fun, but I think I might find some excuse to take this to work tomorrow.

6'8". Almost too big for the measuring equipment at my LBS!

Any tips for brands with large sizes? I know Shimano make shoes that are labelled as size 50, but all the advice seems to be that they come up a little smaller than normal.

Spesh BG are the best I've found for commuting

I have some shimano 52's on my road bike

I'd even be tempted to go up a size with Spesh BG. Lengthwise 45 (my usual size) are only just about OK for me and a bit narrow. I've a pair of 46 MTB ones that are a lot more comfy.

Have 64cm Trek Madone. Youre right there arent many of them around. On the subject of shoes. Wiggle do a specialised, I think up to a size 50 which is about a 14. I have a pair of 49s and normay take about a 13.

I got some large Diadora shoes quite cheaply on eBay but I can't see any there at the moment.
