It does look cool though, if I can find another donor bike that’s the sort of thing I’d like to do next but as a super light single speed with disc brakes.

My 58/11 is only 84.7 gear inches. I can,t tell if that's a 3 speed, or a two. The increase in weight between a 2 speed and a single isn't very much but a low gear for hills is nice. The BikeGang 3 speed prototype they graciously sent me gave me a 66.6 and 54.7 to add to the 84.7 and still much lighter than the Sturmey Archer 3 speed.

I know Ive ordered a smaller one , the person I bought it off raced it and is probably a lot younger than me

im going to . mainly using on flat at mo , but when we're let loose gain , be ready for all needs . Bought bike in lockdown and not ridden much , see how it goes . but usually to big for me also the kojaks aren't good for off road

your chainwheel looks about 58-60 tooth and the back has a derailleur with 3 speed hub why not keep it but put a second smaller chainwheel on to assist on hills ?

Adding another chain ring is easy enough if the cranks are made to run two. I have had 58/38 for years. Grant Petersen at Rivendell has apparently become enamored of rod type front derailleurs and may get some made. They might work very well on a Brompton.
