looks very nice any idea of age of frame? frame looks like 80's maybe early 90's? but it has down tube shifters
is it steel or alli?
with those drop outs you will need to buy or build a chain tensioning device
Cheers Ed

my local rides are fairly flat and all 3 previous single speeders been built with same gearing

its steel and heavy but should be a great commuting bike for some one , hope you gave me a like @young Ed
steel can just be painted over if it starts corroding where as alli can't
sorry not very good with remembering to like stuff even though in real life i do like it just a sec though!
loads of people like my posts on here but i seldom remember to like really good posts on here myself

52 x 16 - must be very flat ! 46 x 16 on mine ! Have fun with the vertical dropouts - you may need a chain tensioner.

already got the tensioner , and i thought same re 52 x 16 and have run the last 3 single speeds with the same gearing no probs , i end up pushing rather than spinning legs everywhere

with a bit of luck this could be ready for riding 2moro and then do some testing miles on it before it goes off to a new owner who ever that may be

i set up my first SS tonight well kind of finished it
it is just my cheap sh**e old BSO apollo from halfords with gear chaging rubbish removed but i will buy it a nice fixie cog and then eventually a new chain and chainring and then it will be forks and bars and then a frame so in the end it won't be a cheap horrible BSO  it will end up being a proper big boys bike! :bicycle:
Cheers Ed
